TiVo deleted a hockey game under copy protection policy

This hockey fan went to watch the game he recorded only to find this ugly message saying his game was deleted TiVo's copy protection policy. Read his blog for more on this. Is there another bug in TiVo?

His passion for Tivo is fading

This blogger was a TiVo fanatic, but his passion began to fade when the $800 Series 3 was introduced. The cost was just way too high for this High Def solution for his family. So he decided to give the Comcast DVR a try and posted this comparison, which actually shed a good light on the Comcast unit. Then when the $300 HD box came out, he felt it was too little, too late. I found this screen shot of a customer's live chat with Comcast. Apparently Comcast will charge their subscribers $2.95 per month per DVR for the new TiVo service. That's not a bad deal compared to TiVo's monthly service charges with a genuine TiVo box.

This service has started its rollout in the New England area, according to this press release.
